Hot Poop!

Vic Blackwood, Club Secretary, sent the following email to all members, on 14 July 2021:

‘Guys,

Some updated info for those who are local in particular.

1   A full-size has been notified for Knettishall tomorrow (Thursday 15 Jul 21). Cessna 206 callsign G-SEMR. The pilot has been briefed on airfield procedures. ETA around midday?

2   There are gliders operating from Honington during the week. They are providing ATC cadets with some air experience. They may encroach on Rougham or Knettishall and (since we have experienced them at Honington before) they may not follow the procedures at either airfield. Be prepared!

3   The grass at Rougham has just been cut and looks great. This is entirely due to the fact that Kevin Hunt and Dave Last have completed the long-awaited overhaul of the Red Mower, which is now back in operation. (A full list of the completed overhaul actions can be provided if anyone wishes.) If Keith M had email, he would be overjoyed! Seriously though, well done Kevin and Dave!

4   Bumbling Boris looks set to remove all of the restrictions next week. Failing a sudden burst of common sense, this will mean that if the weather is crap for the Rougham meet on the 26th, we can return to Moreton Hall instead! I leave it up to individuals to make their own assessment as it will probably show better judgement that No 10!

Regards,
Vic
